September's Climate forum will be giving YOUNG PEOPLE a voice. They are key to a bright future here in the Traditional Territory of the SON… from Tobermory to Kincardine, from Collingwood to Saugeen Shores. They are youth now who will be decision makers in 2040 and 2050.

Grey County buildings will be closed at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12 for an all-staff event. This includes the Grey County Administration Building, off-site administration offices, the Hanover EarlyON centre, and satellite Ontario Works offices.
As a resident of Saugeen Shores, I take exception to the wording in Mayor Charbonneau's message that was issued on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Firstly, let me say that I have greatly respected Her Majesty. I admire her dedication to service and her efforts to reconcile many competing traditions.
However, Mayor Charbonneau seems not to understand the world of 2022. He uses the word "affinity" twice. This presumes that deep down the people of Saugeen Shores felt an "affinity" to the crown. In 2022 I would question this.
The first River District Wheel & Ride Event is happening on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is a free family friendly event to promote back-to-school street safety.
The event will offer an obstacle course, rules of the road, bike maintenance, live on-location broadcasting, children’s tattoo parlour, face painting, community bbq, and more.
