BLL-hi-res-web-cropAfter announcing that Bruce Cockburn will headline Summerfolk41, the Georgian Bay Folk Society received a number of questions from people wondering where the lions are. In response they are happy to announce that Canadian Folk Music Award winners Big Little Lions are bringing their charming pop-folk sound to the stages of Kelso Beach Park August 19-21, 2016.

Big Little Lions is the ferociously catchy songwriting duo of JUNO Award winning Helen Austin and Paul Otten. Their songs are a dynamic fusion of feel-good and deep emotion that leaves listeners with melodies in their heads and smiles on their faces. With a sound that crosses somewhere between Mumford and Sons and Pomplamoose, between them Helen and Paul have had hundreds of TV placements and many awards including a JUNO Award and a 2015 Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year. They are sure to be the pride of Summerfolk.

Tickets for Summerfolk41 are only $100 until December 31st and are available at www.summerfolk.org/tickets or by calling the Georgian Bay Folk Society office at 519-371-2995.
