DP-Motor-City-Brass-Band-cu

It's a grey drizzly start to the first weekend of December. What better way to kick it up a notch than an hour of spirited band music (and cookies!) with the Great Lake Winds?

You can sleep in Saturday, December 3 and roll down to Central Westside Unted Church on 10th St. West  at 11 a.m. for some "Great" band music, Christmas and otherwise. Under the direction of Rob Tite,

member of the Georgian Bay Symphony and local music teacher among many other accomplishments, this concert band of young and old has been preparing this program for you since September. Soloists will offer their own favourites, and the full band will fill the church with joyful noise.  You'll be tapping your toes, maybe singinging along, and the whole event (including the cookies and your second cup of coffee for the day) is pay-what-you-can.

And the 11 a.m. start time (and cookies) will give you plenty of time and inspiration to get off to your shopping and baking and holiday chores.  See you Saturday for some "Great" music!
