paisley choirFor its holiday concert, Paisley Concert Choir will perform "Singin' Glory!" a lively, fun, rhythmically rich program of Christmas and seasonal music.

Concerts, under the direction of Linda Finlay and accompanied by Jane Siegel, will take place on Friday December 1st at 7:30 pm in Hanover, Saturday December 2nd at 2:00 pm in Owen Sound and Sunday December 3rd at 7:30 pm in Paisley. The 52-voice mixed choir will perform an eclectic mix of songs, from traditional carols to contemporary music, calypso carols to spirituals, gospel songs and some Paul McCartney and John Lennon tunes for good measure.

Christmas and the holiday season can often be a hectic, stressful time. Music can help calm our thoughts, soothe our weary souls and lift our spirits. It can offer us hope, inspiration and time to reflect.

Some program highlights include: a rousing medley of Hark! The Glad Sound -The First Noel -On Christmas Night; the gorgeous Welsh lullaby All Through the Night; the popular McCartney/Lennon song Yesterday; a fast-paced arrangement of the popular winter song Sleigh Ride that will have you wishing for snow; and two glorious spirituals, Every Time I Feel The Spirit and Angels Singin' Glory!

Two sing-along Christmas carols will get the audience up on their feet and part of the action. Small group performances, including a piano duet, round out the program.

Tickets are available from choir members or at the door before each concert. Tickets are $15. Children 18 years and younger are free of charge. You can visit our website at www.thepaisleyconcertchoir.com or check us out on Facebook.
