coco love alcornOn December 7th, Coco Love Alcorn brings her Wonderland - An Invitation To Sing tour home to Owen Sound. The performance will be at The Roxy Theatre and she will be joined by her band and a pop-up community choir.

This fall Coco Love Alcorn is touring across Canada sharing the songs of "Wonderland" (Sept 2016), and celebrating the album's 2 recent award nominations: Canadian Folk Music Award - Contemporary Singer of the Year, Nova Scotia Music Award - Folk Recording of the Year.

A few years ago, Coco felt inspired by the raw passion and spirit of gospel music, a room filled with voices and stomping and clapping. The tradition of people gathering as a community to lift spirits through singing can be found all across human history, through countless cultures and religions. She set aside all the instruments and started to experiment by layering her voice with a looping machine, creating rich harmonies and rhythms.

Excited by the new direction, she posted a video of her song "The River", on YouTube. "The River" spread like wildfire, and before Coco knew it, choirs across Canada, the U.S. and even the U.K. were singing her song. Quite by accident, Coco had written choral music and discovered a new passion, to write simple and inspiring songs built for singing. As a testament, the songs of 'Wonderland' have been covered not only by over 100 choirs, but also by Coco's peers including, Alysha Brilla, John McDermott and Treasa Levasseur.

Now, Coco Love Alcorn has created a beautifully produced songbook entitled "Wonderland – An Invitation To Sing" and is once again touring across Canada in support of this incredible project. She'll be joined along the way by guest community choirs who have made Coco's music part of their repertoires. This is the most interactive Canadian music tour of the fall, and we invite you to join in the Coco chorus!
