Hammerton/Wagler/O'Neill + Kaelin Murphy at Heartwood Hall.

Hammerton/Wagler/O'Neill is a modern jazz trio based in Guelph and Cambridge. They perform standards, originals and jazz interpretations of music by The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Radiohead and many more. The band has a connection to the Owen Sound area via their bass player Tyler Wagler who grew up in the area.

Joining the trio for this show will be fellow ex-Owen Sound resident Kaelin Murphy. Kaelin is currently studying jazz trumpet at the University of Toronto and is quickly making a name for himself on the Canadian jazz scene. In addition to playing with several groups in Toronto he has recently spent time performing in Ottawa and NYC, as well as touring across Canada with My Son The Hurricane.

This promises to be a show of very high level modern jazz, a genre rarely heard in Owen Sound despite it's bustling music scene.
