Donald QuanIn 2009, Donald Quan suffered a massive stroke onstage. He was clinically dead for 17 minutes. Now recently fully recovered he is known for his expertise in producing world music, pop music, film scores, and more.

On Saturday May 11th in Owen Sound at the Harmony Centre, 890 4th Ave East,  an event to raise awareness of a valuable resource that is new in grey-bruce will be happening. This special event will introduce the Brain Injury Resource Centre Grey Bruce. Its aim is to inspire people with acquired brain injuries.The event is pay what you can, even if that's just your presence. Doors will be open at 1:30PM and the show begins at 2 and runs 'til 5.

Donald Quan will both perform at this event and talk about his acquired brain injury and how music has helped him, and about his journey from injury to empowerment.

Donald Quan has performed with Loreena McKennitt, Lighthouse, and others, and is a multiple award winning Composer and Musician. He is known for composing the theme for CBC’S Metro Morning as well as the themes for the successful television show Relic Hunter, and has scored music for various CBC programming. He is also known as being the founder of one of the most eclectic music stores and venues in the world Musideum.
