childrens booksHelp two wonderful local children’s book creators to launch their new books at the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library on Saturday, May 11, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Elly MacKay’s newest book is “The Tallest Treehouse”. Her distinctive illustrations are created using paper and ink, and are then set into a miniature theatre and photographed, giving them their unique three-dimensional quality. She is the celebrated author and illustrator of “If You Hold a Seed”, “Shadow Chasers” and “Red Sky at Night”.

Kelly Hill is an award-winning book designer and the artist behind the board books “Anne’s Numbers”, and “Anne’s Colors”. She will be launching the two newest books in the series, “Anne’s Alphabet” and “Anne’s Feelings”. Her illustrations are a combination of sewing and embroidery.

Both picture book makers will present their books starting at 10:00 am followed by refreshments and crafts. Hill and MacKay will have copies of their books available for sale and signing.
