railway musicLocal culture company, Rrampt, is taking over the old Railyard Station in Owen Sound to deliver a rockin' one-day festival full of music, food, arts, and local culture on July 27. They’ve partnered with the newest brew pub on the water, Mudtown Station, to deliver a backyard BBQ-style event that will take place on the lawn, patio, and inside the restaurant. They’ve put together a lineup of six bands playing outdoors from 4pm to 11pm with a BBQ dinner served from 5pm - 8pm that's included in the $60 advanced ticket.

The acts for this one-day music festival and BBQ are Emilly Gilbart, Matty Myatt, Falcon Jane, L CON, Woodworker, and The Responsables.

“We have been putting on shows in Owen Sound for a couple years now,” Jesse Wilkinson, Rrampt creator and co-owner says. “This is our first outdoor festival, and we are definitely excited to bring this type of event to Owen Sound. This is such a great city for music.”

Wilkinson started Rrampt.com in 2015 and was joined by Nelson Phillips as co-owner in 2018. They wanted to build a lineup that was tied to the area – every artist is either living here, has lived here, or been involved with the community somehow.

The doors open at 3pm when attendants will be able play lawn games and visit many of the vendors like Eat Local Grey Bruce, County of Grey, Dejong Acres, Café Pionero, Coffin Ridge, Georgian Hills, and Feast Ontario. Attendants are welcome to bring blankets, and the restaurant will also offer seating both inside and on the patio.
