grey county farm girlIsabelle (Grierson) Love grew up in Grey County and lived in several countries before settling down in Owen Sound. Her autobiography, Grey County Farm Girl, will be launched at The Ginger Press in downtown Owen Sound at 2:00pm on Saturday September 28. The author will be giving a talk on her experiences and signing copies of her new book.

From milking cows by hand on the family farm (avoiding the ones that kicked) to the long walk to and from school (especially in deep winter snow) and the joys of a close knit community of friends and family, Isabelle Love remembers her childhood as eventful. As an adult, she married her childhood sweetheart, Lyle Love, and they lived for several years in the Caribbean before returning to Canada to start a family. Eventually they moved to Owen Sound where Lyle became the City Manager and Isabelle became a real estate agent.

Everyone is welcome to attend the launch; autographed copies of Grey County Farm Girl ($24.95) can be reserved at (519) 376-4233 if you are unable to attend.
