The City of Owen Sound is pleased to announce the opening of 'The Buff Bistro' at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre (JMRRC) beginning April 2016.
Council approved the signing of a five-year lease agreement with John Bartley, Terry Bartley, Kimberly Bartley, Mark Bartley and Jacob Bartley, to operate a concession 'The Buff Bistro' as part of the Operating Agreement the City has with the Family Y.
"The concession will be a great addition to the JMRRC," says Pamela Coulter, Director of Community Services. "As identified in the City's 2015 Strategic Plan, our initiatives are to provide effective services, and infrastructure to promote 'where you want to live', and to grow the existing business base. We welcome 'The Buff Bistro' to the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre."
The Agreement will allow the provision of food and beverage service during daily operation and special events, and includes the line "the concession shall offer healthy food choices".
