Harbourfest1

An event is all about an experience and  Harbourfest July 13 is set to give people an experience and 'taste' of Owen Sound, all in one day!

Harbourfest is once again taking over the Owen Sound inner harbour to draw crowds for food, drinks, live entertainment and fun family activities from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, rain or shine. Admission is free.

On the east harbour wall, a fully-licensed area will be set up to enjoy performers all day long, including:
- 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM - Children’s entertainer Magical Duda, with some up-close strolling magic on the grounds in between stage shows;
- 4:15 PM - Funk-fusion band The Accolades;
- 6:00 PM - Multi-talented pop-rock musician Stacey Renee and her band;
- 8:00 PM - Musical headliner Who Made Who - the most unrivaled tribute to AC/DC  up around, the power of Who Made Who mirrors the pure strength, energy, impeccable sound and larger than life stage production of an AC/DC show!

Craft breweries and food trucks will be on site to quench thirst and satisfy cravings while taking in the many different forms of entertainment provided at the event. In-water entertainment will include Georgian College’s Marine Training and Research centre demonstration of marine rescue missions, and two thrilling water ski shows at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in the inner harbour.

Plenty of local community groups and organizations will be on hand to offer event goers lots to see and do. This includes:

- At Last Adventures & At Last Forest Schools
- Coca-Cola
- Glendale Farms Pony Rides
- Tom Thomson Art Gallery
- Grey County Tourism

- Grey Bruce Health Unit
- Ontario Energy Board

- Owen Sound Rowing Club
- Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular
- Owen Sound Tourism
- Seasons Retirement Community
- Shalimar Body Art

On the west side of the harbour, the Community Waterfront Heritage Centre will be hosting Grey Roots, model railway layouts, and more family-friendly activities until 4:00 PM.

“We saw great success last year with Harbourfest, drawing almost 6000 people to our beautiful waterfront,” Mayor Ian Boddy says. “We’re thrilled to continue to bring exciting events to our area that offer a variety of entertainment that appeals to many different interests.”
