Following the only scheduled Owen Sound all candidates meeting for the upcoming municipal election, The Ginger Press in downtown Owen Sound has decided to keep the conversation going. All Owen Sound candidates (including school trustees) have been invited to an informal Come and Go Tea at 6:30pm on Wednesday October 10.

The focus of this event will be on arts, culture and community. Five relevant questions have been circulated to the candidates and their answers will be displayed in the store as they arrive.

"It is hoped this event will move the election discussion beyond Facebook and traditional news outlets," says organizer Maryann Thomas. "We have a lot of candidates and a lot of concerns. I believe the future of Owen Sound is tied directly to the success of our arts and culture and I want to hear from our candidates if they agree and what they plan to do about it."

Everyone is welcome to attend this event. There will be no formal speeches, just the opportunity to ask and get answers from the candidates.
