It is the simplest thing in the world right now, go to the Government of Canada's website, click contact the Prime Minister, and inform the government that Canadians do not support any NAFTA deal of any kind. Not one shred either of truck nor trade with the United States until innocent children are set free and returned to the embrace of their parents again. Do it. We bear moral leverage in this situation as well; don't you dare stand by and refuse to use it! There is something we can do, however small, and the soul of our nation, deep in its humanity will not survive a rejection of the ethical power and responsibility to stand up for abused and suffering people in this world against tyrants.
Do the right thing Canada, do not choose the easy callous brittle cowardly road of burying our heads in the sand, totalitarianism naked and in the open is wreaking its pathos across the planet. Stand up to it now as it is beginning, as it was not stood up to until it had gotten far too afield and under way in the past. Defending a free and compassionate earth has become our obligation, we are up against it on the front line, and we must, in all unrelenting conscience swing to the flank of these victims of insanely stupid and unmitigated evil.
