Smutylo Father Daughter 3 8.5 x 10

The Grey Gallery and Allen Smutylo have combined efforts to offer the public a unique opportunity through the Canadian Red Cross, to help the devastated people of the Ukraine. Renowned artist and printmaker Allen Smutylo, who is of Ukrainian descent, has generously donated two original works of art for auction.

HOW IT WORKS
All proceeds go to the Canadian Red Cross.

Smutylo Brother 28 x 24 copyInstead of paying the gallery or the artist, the winning bidder will make a donation in the amount of the bid directly to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine fund. The bidder will receive a tax receipt from the Red Cross in that amount, and there are no bank or gallery fees. The entire amount of the bid will go towards the Red Cross to aid the people of Ukraine. Once bids are closed and proof of the donation, dated March 13 or later, has been received by the gallery , arrangements will be made for pickup or shipment of the artwork.

The auction will continue, and bids can be submitted, until 6pm on Sunday March 13. The original artwork may be viewed in the window of Grey Gallery. Each of the two pieces has a minimum bid amount, equivalent to one quarter of the usual retail price. Bids should be submitted by email to [email protected] and you will receive confirmation that your bid has been logged. In your email please indicate which painting you are bidding on, and the amount of the bid. All bids are kept confidential and you will not be required to share personal bank or credit card information.

At the conclusion of the auction at 6pm on Sunday March 13, the bids will be examined and the highest bidder for each painting will be notified. In the case of a tie the bid received first will be the winner. The successful bidder will then make the donation in the amount of the bid, and forward the confirmation to the Grey Gallery email that their donation to the Canadian Red Cross has been completed.
