It is once again time to set your clock back one hour this weekend. Technically, the correct time to do this is at 2:00AM on Sunday morning. But if you're like me, getting up at that time defeats the advantage of having an extra hour of sleep. And since there are no Time Police, the hub hardily recommends you turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night, as you retire.

It should be noted, for those who find the shorter days to be distressful, that we are returning to normal time, and that Daylight Savings Time occurs in the summer half of the year. What DST does is to simply move an hour of sunlight from the morning to the evening during the later spring, summer, and earrlier fall seasons.

Many of Daylight Savings Time's detractors do not realize that giving up Daylight Saving Time would mean having shorter summer days.

Note too, that at this time of year Hydro swaps its on-peak and mid-peak rate times.

So, welcome back to normal time this weekend.
