emptybowl

Maiya Burgess and Candace White, leadership students at Peninsula Shores, are organizing a soup dinner with a twist. On Wednesday November 15th from 5 to 7 pm, Peninsula Shores District School in Wiarton is hosting an Empty Bowls fundraiser. With the purchase of a $30 ticket, upon arrival at the school, attendees choose a unique, hand-crafted ceramic bowl and fill it with one offour delicious soups prepared by the PSDS Foods class. After eating, take your one-of-a-kind bowl home with you to enjoy.

Costs for the event have been sponsored by the Rotary Interact Club of Wiarton, so all proceeds raised by the event will be donated to the Wiarton Food Bank. Approximately 100 bowls will be available thanks to the generosity of many local potters including: Tim Smith, Don Dubois, Steve Irvine, and many others.

Tickets are available for purchase at Josie's, The Source, and Peninsula Shores, all in Wiarton.
