Students from BPDS, KDSS, GHDSS, SHHS attended the three day national summit on Drugs and Distracted Driving.

Chloe Mielhausen and Jasmine Brough from Bruce Peninsula school were part of the 8 member student provincial team implementing and hosting the first ever National Youth Summit on Drugs and Distracted Driving, May 10-13, 2018 at Niagara College Welland. OSAID 2This was the 30th annual youth conference on impaired driving that Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving, OSAID has hosted and saw 250 delgates attend from as far away as New Brunswick and the NWT.

"Having managed the OSAID program for over 25 years, I can tell you personally that having members of your school community attend this conference will result in safer schools, a safer community, and volunteer commitment from students for the remainder of their school careers. Many of our teacher-advisers stay volunteers for over a decade," says Matt Evans, Executive Director OSAID.
