You are cordially invited to join The Georgian Bay Amateur Radio Club, and the Helping Hands Craft Club at our annual Amateur Radio field day held this year at Victoria Park on 10th Street East in Owen Sound.
The event will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23rd next to the Horticultural building at Victoria park till 2:00 p.m. June 24th.
Each year the amateur radio club demonstrates emergency preparedness and the ability to operate under less than ideal conditions. Last year we contacted over 300 other radio groups all over North America. This is a great opportunity to foster awareness of municipal, county and provincial leaders with the club's emergency communication capabilities and operating skills. Come out and see what an Amateur Radio club can do to help you in your emergency plan.
The Helping Hand Craft Club joins us on Saturday to help promote their worthwhile cause as a community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local community groups and charities and individuals within Grey County through the sale of handmade crafts.
