libraryglassCome to the Library this summer for lots of great, free programs and to register for the TD Summer Reading Club.

The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library will be hosting a launch party for the TD Summer Reading Club on Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 am, upstairs in the Youth Services Department. Children can make a summer reading goal, take part in games and crafts and enjoy a cool, refreshing drink at our lemonade stand. Families who miss the launch party are welcome to register for summer reading at any point throughout the summer.

With a wide variety of free summer programs for children of all ages, the Library is a great place to visit this summer. Spaces for these programs are limited. Be sure to register at the Library or by calling 519-376-6623 ext. 4.

Owen Sound Poet Laureate Lauren Best will be hosting a weekly summer music camp for children in grades 3-8 starting July 3. Creative young people can also join Lauren for a deeper dive into the connections between poetry and performance at 3 additional weekly workshops starting July 5.

Celebrate the Japanese Star Festival, Tanabata, with community member Yuko on Friday, July 6 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Learn the story of the star-crossed lovers, fold origami and make a goal for the year ahead.ukeleles
