Moses and RoseThe Northern Bruce Truth and Reconciliation Group presents A Story of Places: the geographic history of the Historic Saugeen Metis on Tuesday July 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Park's Visitor Centre in Tobermory.

Descendants of the union of European settlers with women of the First Nations, the Metis have a strong and colourful history from their participation in the fur trade in the early 1800's to settlement in the Lake Huron District as the fur trade dwindled.

Two of their number, Jenna McGuire and Patsy McArthur, will share stories about the community and its connections to the Saugeen lands and waters, and an overview of the concept of Metis identity and its primary cultural elements.

Admission is free. All welcome.
