Billy Bishop Home & Museum has welcomed summer with a touch of high style and entertainment. We are hosting Victorian Teas served by traditionally costumed Victorian maids on the lovely historic grounds of the Victorian-era home; and presenting our wildly popular Ghost Walks.

Our first two teas of the season were well attended and appreciated by ladies and gentlemen attending. Our dessert tea features Billy's Blend Tea, scones supplied by Best Western Inn on the Bay, strawberry jam made by our wonderful volunteer Judy Ruhl, and Clotted cream, while our luncheon tea includes all of that plus sandwiches.

In August, our dessert tea will be held on August 1st, and our luncheon tea is on August 15th. These teas will be sure to delight and entertain all guests, young and old. Your best Victorian hats are most encouraged. Dessert teas are $4 for members and $6 for non-members; luncheon teas are $8 for members and $10 for non-members, and includes Museum admission. Space is limited so get your tickets early.

We are still holding our Ghost Walks on Sunday evenings for the reminder of July and in August at 9pm and are very excited to see so many people join us for the walk. Discover the darker side of Owen Sound through the exploration of local history and legends. Visitors will be fascinated by a glimpse into the mischief, mayhem and murders committed within the city of Owen Sound.

The walks are about 45 minutes long and cover approximately two and one-half kilometers. Walks are limited to those ages 12 and over. Tickets are on sale at the Museum and the cost is $5 per person. Tickets may be purchased in advance and are available up to the day of the walk.

We always have crafts available for children to release their boundless imagination. We also have books to read and learn about Billy Bishop and other brave men and women, or to learn more about the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

You can find out more information on all these events by calling 519-371-0031 or by visiting our website, www.billybishop.org.
