water watchers fix and releaseThe Owen Sound Water Watchers and the Owen Sound Library are very pleased to announce the third Water Docs Where You Live film festival.

Coming to the Library September 18th is A River's Last Chance, a feature documentary showing the amazing recovery of the Eel River in Northern California, a haven for wild salmon.

Accompanying that, we'll have a brief presentation by Dieter Heinrich about a new group in town that is concerned about the health of the Sydenham River.

On September 25th, we're excited to present Just Add Water, a talk by Master Gardener Pat Wyszynski, followed by local short films and the visually stunning and very moving documentary, Fix and Release, featuring a small turtle trauma centre in Peterborough, ON, as it fights to save freshwater turtles.

Hope you can join us on September 18 and/or September 25th, 7 pm at the Library. Doors open at 6:45 pm. The programs are free, but we do appreciate donations.
