“We'll meet again
Don't know where,  don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day”.

The songs of the World Wars kept chins up on the homefront and on the front lines. Funny, romantic, encouraging, stirring – once again in the week of Remembrance Day, we are remembering the music that kept everyone going through the separation and fear.

Kelda Mikalson takes Vera Lynn - “the Forces' Sweetheart" - as her muse, May Ip and Vanessa Bosman offer harmonies a la the Andrews Sisters, and Bethany Matthews provides the beautiful piano accompaniment. Context is set with some wartime letters and anecdotes - you'll see how communities pulled together in tough times. Whether the songs are familiar or new, the music that bridged the miles in wartime still makes us smile – and cry – today.

Chatsworth Legion is hosting the show Saturday, November 3 at 2 p.m. The $10 ticket includes tea and goodies and proceeds will benefit the Homeless Veterans Fund.
On Sunday, November 4 at 2 p.m. the show moves to First United Church in Owen Sound, and admission is by donation.
