tea serviceStaff and Volunteers at Billy Bishop Home & Museum are busy planning exhibit installations, special events and summer programming while searching for a leprechaun to find that elusive pot of gold! But right now, we are preparing a special St. Patrick’s Day Tea for you!

Wednesday, March 20th will be the day we go GREEN to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We will serve shamrock cookies, appropriately themed cupcakes, and green tea, but don’t worry, if you don’t want green tea we will still have our wonderful Billy’s Blend Tea on hand.

There will be two sittings at each tea, 1:30pm and 3pm, and be served in our dining room. The cost for the tea is $15 per person, which includes your admission to the Museum and a special memento of your afternoon.

Guests attending these Specialty Teas will be served by traditionally costumed Victorian maids and be treated to assorted cakes, cookies, and chocolates which will complement the tea theme, and, of course, Billy’s Blend Tea. Museum Curator, Emily Jolliffe, will stop in to chat about an intriguing artefact or little known fact about the event, the Museum or Billy Bishop and his family.

In April, we will celebrate with an Easter Tea on Wednesday, April 17th.

Delicious treats and a relaxed atmosphere will make our tea the closest you’ll ever get to having a perfect afternoon.

Space is limited, so pre-registration with payment is required. Reservations can be made by visiting Billy Bishop Home & Museum at 948 3rd Ave West in Owen Sound. The Museum hours are 12pm to 4:00pm Tuesday to Friday. You can also call 519-371-0031 or email [email protected] to register for the tea.
