On Saturday, March 23, come to Moreston Heritage Village at Grey Roots to take part in Maple Sugar Moon: Honouring the Gift. From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m, the village will be full of live music, delicious maple treats, and hands-on activities.

Get moving with toe-tapping tunes from the Merry Music Makers and experience a drum circle with M’Wikwedong Native Cultural Resource Centre. Learn what makes maple trees so special with the help of the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

Try your hand at tree tapping and sap boiling, and then warm up with delicious pancakes from Kiwanis (cash only). Sample fragrant cedar tea and listen to stories of the very first maple sugar moon with Nikaanaganaa Counselling & Learning Centre.maple syrup 2

And don’t forget to try some fresh maple snow taffy from DeJong Acres (free samples for children).
