golf ballOn behalf of the organizing committee and our co-sponsors, Trillium Mutual Insurance and Waterloo Premium Brewing, we are pleased to announce the 27th Annual Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce Charity Golf Tournament.

Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce is a locally operated registered charitable program governed by a civilian volunteer board of directors. Crime Stoppers offers an invaluable service to law enforcement agencies throughout Bruce and Grey counties by providing anonymous information from the public on crimes ranging from Highway Traffic Act offences to narcotics production operations and everything in between. Crime Stoppers continues to be “community policing” in its purest form by allowing the public to be “part of the solution” to crime in our communities. Our statistics illustrate the success of our program as we have exceeded $53 Million in total seized narcotics and stolen property and have received over 15,000 tips since our program’s inception in 1987.

This year’s tournament will be hosted by the Saugeen Golf Club and will take place on Friday June 7th, 2019. Thanks to the involvement of individuals and members of the business community this tournament has provided a large portion of our operating revenue over the past 26 years and is instrumental in our sustainability and future growth.

This year’s tournament will be highlighted by the appearance of NHL alumni Steve (Stumpy) Thomas, Mike (Krusher) Krushelnyski, Les Binkley, Paul McDermid, Ref Kendrick Nicholson and Port Elgin native Kevin Czuczman.

The tournament always fills to capacity with a full complement of more than 150 golfers from throughout the area including local sports celebrities.
