The Library is excited to be hosting an evening of community programming this Thursday night at 7:00 pm.

In 2018, the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library presented 437 Adult and or Youth programs with over 10,000 participants. We are always looking for creative ideas to engage and support our community.

We are excited to be hosting Grokfest on Thursday, September 19 in the Auditorium. We hosted this event a few years ago and we are pleased to bring it back to Owen Sound this fall. In “Stranger in a Strange Land” by Robert Heinlein, Grok means “to drink fully, to understand, to be immersed”.

Perhaps you have attended a Ted Talk, Lightening Talk, Ignite Session, or Pecha Kucha online or in-person. This is our local version, Grokfest, featuring short presentations of twenty slides with each slide on the screen for twenty seconds.

Come out for an entertaining and educational evening with local presenters sharing information about lighthouses, woodworking, film, writers, the Owen Sound Harbour, letters and more.

Perhaps you have an idea about a topic and would like to share information about a passion, whimsy, concept, organization or event? Come and check out Grokfest.
