On Friday, November 15^th,  parents and family members from Alexandra Community School had the opportunity to participate in our first school-wide Family Friday. From 2:00 to 3:00 all classrooms from grades JK to 8 were open for family members to drop in for a visit and participate in the learning.

The learning activities varied from class to class, play-based learning centres in kindergarten, literacy and math activities throughout the grades and a STEAM challenge in grade 5/6. Over 100 parents and grandparents joined us for our first Family Friday. While this event was fun and exciting for all, it also served as a great parent engagement opportunity.

The Alexandra school family can’t wait for our next Family Friday.
