covid familyThe Municipality of West Grey calls on residents to remain focused on safety measures set out by public health as COVID-19 cases rise in Grey Bruce.

“West Grey continues to follow the direction of Grey Bruce Health Unit and supports the call to remain vigilant,” said Mayor Christine Robinson. “I would like to thank West Grey citizens for their efforts and I know everyone will continue to do their part in keeping our community safe.”

On Sunday, November 15, 2020, the Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 10 new case of COVID-19 in Grey Bruce with a total of 33 active cases. The health unit called on the public to refocus energy on the basic measures that keep us safe, by remembering the 3-Ws: wash your hands frequently, watch your distance and stay two metres apart and wear face coverings.

On March 23, 2020, West Grey declared a state of emergency and since then has ensured critical services remain operational. Currently the administration building is open under limited hours, with enhanced cleaning schedules, and safety protocols. Arenas and some of the large halls are available for rentals under protocols and safety measures.
