On February 14, 2016 at approximately 7:08 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) together with the Chatsworth Fire Department and the Chesley Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed structure fire on Sideroad 5 in the Township of Chatsworth.

The structure, described as an older residence in poor condition, was without hydro/water and had been unoccupied for 2-3 years.

An older light coloured pick-up truck was observed leaving the property just before the fire was reported to police.  The vehicle was last seen going westbound on Sideroad 5.

Although the cause of the fire is unknown at this time, it does appear to be suspicious.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have information which may assist by contacting the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.  Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.crimestoppersgb.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
