Bluewater District School Board is inviting members of the public to an information meeting regarding changing elementary school boundaries as a result of last year's accommodation review for the Owen Sound Area Group of Schools. The meeting will be held at Hillcrest Elementary School in Owen Sound on Thursday, March 23, 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Parents/guardians, students, and other members of our school communities are encouraged to attend to learn more about the proposed plan, which would entail boundary area changes for several schools effective September 2017. These include the existing Bayview Public School and Sydenham Community School boundaries, which will be consolidated to become the new school boundary for the recently named East Ridge Community School in Owen Sound. Boundaries are also being adjusted for Hepworth Central Public School, Keppel-Sarawak Elementary School, and Hillcrest Elementary School to accommodate students from Dufferin Elementary School (closing June 2017), and to improve travel distances.
