On August 31st, 2017 a male party reported to police that he had been robbed at gun point while in the area of St. George's Park. The victim advised police that the suspect stole a package of cigarettes. The victim provided a detailed description of the suspect. At 8:40 pm an officer on general patrol observed a male matching the description of the suspect walking in the downtown core. The male party was arrested without incident. A search of the male revealed a BB gun, closely resembling a Ruger handgun, located in the suspect's back pack.
The 19 year old, of no fixed address, will be held for a bail hearing later today on charges of robbery with a firearm, other weapon related offences and 4 breaches of his probation orders.
