oppb-graphic-fullGrey County Ontario Provincial Police continue to investigate the theft of a 30 foot long, homemade firewood elevator from a bush lot located on the 3rd Line A in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The theft occurred sometime between 7:30 p.m. on August 29th and 8:00 a.m. on August 30th, 2017. Unknown person(s) entered the property by forcibly removing a metal gate.

The firewood elevator was painted a "John Deere green" colour. It was mounted on a single axel and had a 5 horsepower Honda engine mounted above the axel. The equipment was valued at approximately $10,000.

Anyone with information which may assist investigators is asked to call Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
