There are few people in our community who can make things better just by showing up. Bob Wallace was one of them.

We do not have words for this loss to his partner Diana Meder, his family, and all those who loved him at 92.3 Dock Radio and here in his community. We share the announcement from the radio station this morning, and the service arrangements.

This is a difficult time for our family at 92.3 the Dock.

Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our much-loved morning announcer Bob Wallace.

Our friend, co-worker, and supporter of this community, passed away on Sunday.

Bob would have turned 54 on Thursday. He suffered a sudden heart attack at Toronto's Princess Margaret Hospital, where he was about to start treatment for Leukemia.

Bob is survived by his partner in life, and his partner on the air, Diana Meder. He also leaves behind his father Lloyd Wallace of Owen Sound, his mother Barb Shullman of Lindsay and his two children Carissa and Brandon of Toronto. He was very much looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild, due in three months. Bob brought humour, creativity and passion to his broadcasting career, which spanned more than 30 years.

He was devoted to Diana, he was devoted to his community and of course he loved his Habs and his Patriots.

A Celebration of an Amazing Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 24th, 2017 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1450 2nd Ave West, Owen Sound, with visiting and reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Radio for Oncology through 92.3 the Dock, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Owen Sound Animal Shelter or the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated by the family. Donations will be received at the Legion on Sunday.
