100 dollar bill

On November 14, 2017, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a call from the CIBC Bank in Dundalk reporting that they were in possession of a counterfeit Canadian $100 bill.

The counterfeit Canadian $100 bill, serial number PYF2548960, was received by Highland Gas Bar on Main Street East, Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate.

It pays to check your cash - bank notes, including polymer notes - are secure only if you check them. Checking your cash protects you from fraud. The Bank of Canada won't reimburse you for counterfeit money.

A free, Bank of Canada - Employee Handbook - a Guide to Verifying Canadian Bank Notes, are available at the Chatsworth OPP Detachment located on Hwy. 6 & 10 in Chatsworth during normal business hours - 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
