sauble beachThere are some rules to follow while enjoying Sauble Beach this summer.

Sauble Beach's 11km beach front is a public beach but is made up of native land, private land and municipal land.

The following are beach rules that apply:

There are NO DOGS allowed on the beach for safety and health reasons.
There are NO BBQ's allowed on the beach
There is NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING allowed on the beach.

Parking in Sauble Beach:

There is free parking everyday after 5pm in most locations. If you are willing to walk a few blocks you may find free parking or $5/day parking during the day. You will often find free parking in Sauble Beach from September to May (but please pay attention to signage where you park, to ensure you are parked appropriately.

There are private parking lots downtown, including two that allow you to park on the beach. One is located just north of the Welcome to Sauble Beach sign and one behind the Crowd Inn. Parking rates are determined by the lot owners, but typically cost about $10/day for a car, and up to $30/day for an RV to park on these beachfront private parking lots.

Municipal Parking (Town of South Bruce Peninsula) – $3/hour, $12/day or $100 for a seasons Pass. You will also find a few 15 minute Free parking sites, and Free 2 hour parking along Main Street. Check out: http://www.southbrucepeninsula.com/en/townhall/Paid-Parking.asp for further details.

Sauble Park (left of the entrance) – $15.00 Monday to Thursday and $20.00 per day Friday to Sunday. Here you can park directly on the beach. Check out: http://www.saugeenfirstnation.ca/page.php?page=saublepark for further details.

The Dynamic Beach By-Law (By-Law 64-2004) does not permit these items on Sauble Beach:
Motorized vehicles
Generators
Barbecues/or any device for cooking
Horses
Tents or camping
Alcohol
Campfires

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is a leashed Municipality. No person shall allow a dog off the owner's property unless under control and leashed, or in the "Dogs Off Leash Recreation Area (DOLRA)". Dogs are not permitted on Sauble Beach from May 1st to September 30th in each and every year. There is a small area on the beach to the right of the Welcome Sign (if you are looking at the sign) where you see wooden stakes (on each side of Dobson's restaurant). Dogs are allowed between this wooden staked area.
