keynote speakerTogether with event partners and stakeholders, Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) is hosting its next national all-sector manufacturing conference, Advantage through Excellence - Future of Manufacturing, in the Greater Toronto Area, Vaughan, ON, October 8-10, 2019. For more than a quarter century the Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium has been responsible for contributing significant knowledge, expertise and resources towards the success of over 13,000 consortium and online member manufacturers, representing every province across Canada. To enhance contributions to member manufacturers, EMC will be hosting the Advantage through Excellence Conference October 8 – 10, 2019 in Vaughan, ON. Announced recently, keynote speaker J MyersDr. Jayson Meyers of NGen – Next Generation Manufacturing Canada, CEO, will present as keynote speaker on the topic of Advanced Manufacturing: Canada’s Competitive Advantage.

Shawn Casemore, President of Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium, stated, “We are very much looking forward to having Dr. Myers join us to share his insights. Dr. Myers is an award-winning business economist specializing in industrial and technological change, and through this specialization, his insights are sure to inspire attendees.” Dr. Myers is an advisor to both private and public sector leaders and has counselled Canadian prime ministers and premiers as well as senior corporate executives and policymakers around the world. “Dr. Myers joins an expert line up of members and subject matter experts who will ensure conference participants are armed with the latest facts, information and best practices they need to move their companies forward,” continued Casemore.

EMC is also pleased to announce the participation of keynote speakers Michelle Chretien, Director, Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies of Sheridan College and Peter Hall, Vice President and Chief Economist of Export Development Canada, at the Advantage through Excellence Conference. “Through these discussions Michelle and Peter will shed light on the how the advancement of technology and manufacturing techniques can support higher levels of productivity and efficiency for Canadian manufacturers,” explained Casemore.
