violence preventionIn the spring of 2019 two members of Violence Prevention Grey Bruce’s Sexual Violence sub-committee were invited to meet with the leadership class at Owen Sound District Secondary School. The class wanted to do something to raise awareness about the importance of consent and were looking for some feedback and ideas. The conversation was engaging and energetic with the majority of the class participating. Issues about consent, other consent campaigns, and considerations to make a campaign that could be sex positive, avoid shaming people, and focus on the importance of consent were discussed.

The class decided to create a video, release it just ahead of prom, and plaster the school with Draw the Line campaign materials.
