Public health logoThe Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a Dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Meaford. On July 27, 2019 in the afternoon. A man was bitten by a yellow Golden Retriever around 40-50lbs. The man was walking along the beach, saw a dog, and went to approach it. When he tried to pet it, the dog bit him. 

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the Dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the Dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
