MPP Bill Walker is honouring the courage and sacrifice of the members of the Canadian Armed Forces at a number of Remembrance Day ceremonies here in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound this morning.

“From the World Wars to modern day conflicts, we have asked these men and women to serve our country at great risk to their own personal safety and to defend our values and freedoms,” MPP Walker said. “Today, I join my constituents in our communities in taking a moment of silence to show gratitude and respect for their service and to honour their sacrifice.”

MPP Walker started the day by attending the Veterans Breakfast in Hanover this morning. He will continue in Flesherton for the Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph. He will also participate in a fellowship reception at the Owen Sound Legion Branch 6 and join the Ringing of the Bells of Peace at the Wiarton Town Cenotaph.
