Three months after Larry Miller announced that he would not run for re-election, and six months to the day before Miller becomes, in his own words "a free man", the members of the local Conservative party voted Monday for their candidate for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound in October's federal election.

Over 1700 members came to cast ranked ballots at East Ridge Community School from 3 until 8 p.m.  Bill King and his daughter April Redman volunteered at the vote and April's son Ben Redman had his first opportunity to get involved in politics and cast a ballot.

After a long day and three ballots, candidates, members and MP Larry Miller declared their support for Alex Ruff. More details here.
