Over the past few weeks I have learnt that there is a serious want for change. People, who I have met, truly want real change but trying to get to everyone is no easy task. Some of the parties have huge well-funded teams, whereas the smaller new parties have  very loyal supporters who work endlessly to help their candidate move forward. For this I am truly thankful.

There are also those who will grotesquely mislead the people, as was the case of the NDP and at least "one more." What was disappointing was that the "one more" was one of the small new party representatives. It is expected that the larger parties will use fear-mongering and, either, blatant or quasi untruths to gain people's vote, but I find it damages the entire democratic process when, in particular, a small new party does these things.

Thankfully we do not have an NDP majority. That being said will the PCs be any better? Only time will tell, but it is my hope that after this election, people, in my riding, will pay closer attention to what their representative is doing.

Question - will the PCs actually repeal the authority and warrantless entry they voted in favour of just this past November, or will they continue with the status quo? When pushed on this MPP Bill Walker had expressed that only if he got elected would this be repealed – so will it?

Will the PCs get rid of the turbines out of rural Ontario considering the donations they received prior to the election? These are all things we, as Ontarians, need to be looking at, including how much debt will the PCs put us into.

Honesty seems to be the victim in this past election and, unfortunately, to some that is not surprising. But we, as Ontarians, need to move forward, stand up for what we believe in, and hopefully the next four years won't be as bad as some say.

Until next time, "Forget Not" because in the end "Truth Prevails," but only if the people want honesty instead of rhetoric. And perhaps in 4 years people will be ready for complete change and they will vote for the truth, the law, democracy and their voice.

To the elected officials...remember some of us will continue to be watching.

To finish up I would sincerely like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all of those who supported me and to all of those who put an "X" beside my name. ...Thank you!
