OS-Police-Tire-fullOn December 30th, 2017 shortly before 6 pm Owen Sound Police began receiving calls of a possible impaired driver travelling eastbound on 10th Street West from the area of the sunset strip.

The vehicle went through several red lights at intersections within the downtown core as it travelled eastbound on 10th Street. The vehicle was further observed swerving into oncoming traffic clipping at least one vehicle travelling in the westbound lanes.

As the vehicle proceeded eastbound in the area of the 1100 block of 10th Street East it again veered onto the north side of the roadway nearly striking a resident blowing snow form his laneway. Police located the vehicle and driver a short distance away stuck in the snow on the centre median on the 10th Street East extension.

Officers determined the male to be in medical distress and contacted EMS. The male was transported to hospital for treatment of undisclosed medical issues.
