On March 5, 2018, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police with the assistance of the Grey County OPP Crime Unit investigated a report of an alleged sexual assault that had occurred in the Municipality of Grey Highlands involving an adult female.

As a result of the investigation, on March 6, 2018, police arrested and charged a 29-year old male from Grey Highlands with sexual assault and breach of probation. A bail hearing was scheduled for March 7, 2018.

The accused is scheduled to return to court in Owen Sound on March 29, 2018 to speak to the charges.
