OS-Police-cuffsA 43 year old Owen Sound woman faces charges after an altercation with police Tuesday evening. Owen Sound Police were called to an east side duplex in regards to a neighbour dispute shortly after 8:00 p.m. A resident of the building reported that their neighbour was intoxicated and banging on their door while screaming at them.

Police made contact with the woman who continued to scream and cause a disturbance. When officers attempted to arrest the woman for the disturbance she resisted by attempting to bite the officer then kicked him in the groin area.

The woman was taken into custody and charged with causing a disturbance, assault with intent to resist arrest and breach of a condition of a previously made probation order. She will appear in court later this month to answer to the charges. The officer received minor injury from the alleged assault.
