OS-Policesept-fullDrug arrest nets cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and cash.

A month-long drug trafficking investigation ended today with the arrest of a male and female.

On April 12th, 2018 just after 1:00pm officers from Owen Sound Police Drug Unit, Criminal Investigations Branch and Uniform Patrol stopped a vehicle on Highway 6 and 10 just south of city limits. The male was found to be in possession of numerous individual packets of cocaine, a quantity of methamphetamine, roll of cash, and a prohibited knife. The male was also found to be in possession of stolen identification. The female was found to be in possession of a quantity of marihuana.

Police seized cocaine worth an approximate street value of $1600, methamphetamine worth an approximate street value of $300, marihuana worth an approximate street value of $300 and a roll of cash totalling over $1200.

A 30 year-old male of no fixed address will appear in court in Owen Sound for a for a bail hearing on April 13th, 2018. He has been charged with the following offences;

· Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

· Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking

· Possession of proceeds of crime

· Possession of a prohibited weapon

· Unlawful possession of identity documents

· Possession of property obtained by crime

· Possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order

A 28 year-old female from Chatsworth has been charged with possession of marihuana. She was later released from custody and will appear in court in Owen Sound on May 17th, 2018.
