On May 5, 2018, at approximately 9:41 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a theft of a motor vehicle in progress on Concession 7 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

A witness observed a late model grey coloured GMC Sierra pick-up truck drive into a rural laneway on Concession 7 towards a parked, white, Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck. The two occupants quickly exited the GMC pick-up truck; entered the Dodge pick-up truck; and quickly left the scene.

Police attended and, through investigation, found that the abandoned 1994 GMC pick-up truck had been stolen from a rural property in Brockton sometime within the past two weeks, unbeknownst to the owner.

The white, 2008, four wheel drive Dodge Ram 1500, with a black tonneau cover, bearing Ontario licence plates AV63705, is outstanding.

The suspects were described as a male, having short hair, wearing a ball cap and a partial goatee and a female with dirty-blonde hair in a ponytail.

Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information which may assist, to call Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
