OS-Policesept-fullA citizen's call to 9-1-1, results in impaired driving arrest.

On Tuesday, May 8, at approximately 9:00 a.m, alert citizens called 9-1-1 while observing a female driving a vehicle near the 1600 block of 28th Avenue East, in the city of Owen Sound.

The 9-1-1 caller alleged that the vehicle was swerving and during their observation, the vehicle had driven into oncoming traffic.

Police arrived and formed the grounds that the driver was impaired by drugs. The officers also believed that the woman was in immediate need of medical attention, so they quickly transported her to the hospital emergency department.

The 30 year old Owen Sound woman will appear at the courthouse in Owen Sound on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 9:30 a.m, to face the charges of:

- Impaired Driving by Drugs

- Drive Motor Vehicle While Suspended

There were no injuries reported and the vehicle has been impounded by police.
