opp-p0lice-july-fullPedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by motorcycle on highway 6&10.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. this date, May 29, 2018, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Hwy. 6 & 10, south of Sunny Valley Road, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

The Inter-Township Fire Department and Grey County Paramedic Services (EMS) attended the scene to assist.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the pedestrian entered the roadway from the west side and was struck by a motorcycle travelling southbound on Hwy. 6 & 10.

The pedestrian was transported to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre (GBRHC) with life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle operator was transported to hospital. His injuries are unknown at this time.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) will be attending the scene to assist with the investigation.

Hwy. 6 & 10 between Grey Road 16 and Sunny Valley Road is expected to remain closed for several hours for the purpose of the investigation, which is in the early stages. Police ask motorists to respect the road closure.
